T'as been too long m'friends...
Pandemics, Workworkwork, Intropective Reflections and ALL OF THE THINGS that make us hole up in our nests have kept me from you, Gentle Reader, but....
I'm Back.
And what will be forthcoming will be steady, solid and full of Good Things, like new Adventures of Misogyny Man, Karen's, Short Stories, Excerpts from Novels (gasp!) and a collection of "Poims". Some of these will be published here, some of these will be published as BOOKS (gaspgasp!!) and some of them thar books will be available for you to actually purchase and hold in your hot and sweaty little hands! (gaspitygaspgasp)
Rest assured, I will ever remain the Foul Mouthed Raven you all know and love, but do keep in mind that I am a person of refined wit and decorum and I do actually know how to keep a civil tongue in my head, even when I don't particularly wish to and my Mama did TRY her best to raise me right, so I know not to fart, belch or cuss with fluency in mixed company. (Trust me, that is HARD WORK) But the reason I say such is because if you continue to delve into the depths of The Rant, you will find that my Poetry is vastly different from my Short Stories, and they in turn differ from my Novels and other Stories and that The Rant itself is more like speaking directly TO me, as if I were sitting on your couch with you and we were halfway into a bottle on wine after a few cocktails and have been old, close friends for a million years...
But I DO hope that you will leap into the stories, the poems and the random thoughts of mine which occasionally spew forth into the Written Word. And I do hope that you will find enjoyment, entertainment and thought provoking suches as to amuse thee and thine.
Bear with my as my wings falter from time to time in the Realm of Technology. It just ain't my thing. It is something I feel as if FORCED to do, in order to keep up with the fast and turbulent World of the Wyrd. But I do NOT like it, and still prefer writing the old fashioned way, still would rather have a wall phone in the kitchen with a rotary dial, an answering machine, a car that doesn't have to let me know when a tire is low and has an actual KEY, streaming, PC gaming, etc... the list is continuous and infinite as to my technological likes and dislikes. However, I do what I must so that I CAN write. Because to me, writing is LIFE. It is .. truly IS... who and what I am. A Writer.
I am and have been MANY things. But first and foremost, a Writer I have always been. And I shall continue to do so, whether anyone likes it or not.
Oh, not to say that anyone likes or dislikes my writing... nah. Personally, I feel a Writer should not care as to being liked or disliked. ME, I LIKE BEING A WRITER. If you do not like what I write, Don't Read It. Simple as that. But the WRITING... ah, the writing itself...THAT is and always has been my truest calling.
So enjoy, or do not. Post your thoughts and feelings, or do not. I do not seek to inspire or entertain as much as I MUST write, to make sense of the World, to Appease the Laughing Gods, to Release the Kraken, Let the Dogs Out and because mainly, my Writing has always been for me. It was only much later in Life that others told me, "WRITE!!!!!"
